ii. Paddy is grown in the Ganga-Brahmaputra plains.

Reason: Paddy (rice) requires high temperature, high humidity, and heavy rainfall to grow. The Ganga-Brahmaputra plains provide fertile alluvial soil and receive sufficient rainfall, making it the ideal environment for paddy cultivation.
